As outlined in your contract, out-of-state trips are NOT OPTIONAL you are required to share in team expenses during the course of the season, including travel expenses associated with attending out-of-state tournaments, this is in addition to and not included in the club registration fees. Payments must be made by the due date set by RVC. Each player is responsible for all travel fees associated with each tournament.
- Many families like to make this trip a family vacation and extend their time. If you plan on modifying your player's travel dates to other than the team's travel itinerary. Please be aware of the following:
- No credit will be applied for unused portions of the trip.
- Ex: Player is extending their stay and will not be returning with their team. No credit will be issued for not using the return flight.
- Reasoning: We book all flights as a group travel and are unable to breakout individuals tickets and modify any part of the flight. Basically 30 passengers depart on the same flight and 30 passengers return on the same flight. We can't have 30 depart and 27 return as far as making changes with the airline and getting a refund for unused flights.
- It is the parents responsibility to book and pay for the players travel if booking outside of the team's travel itinerary.
- Ex: Player is flying out with team but will not be returning with team. Parent will need to book and pay for players return flight.
- Players can be released to families after all reffing duties have been completed.
- Ex: Team completes final match and the team has to stay and ref, then the player needs to remain with team until reffing duties are completed and no further work duties are required. Players can then leave the venue with parents.
- Parents are responsible to make all arrangements for players baggage, and transportation when being released early to families.
- Ex: Player is being released from the venue to their parents. Parents are responsible for getting players bags and picking them up from the venue. In short Team Moms and Coaches will not be driving players to drop them off at parents hotels or meet somewhere other than where the team will be going, ie. resort, airport, etc.
